Davidson Defense Aegis 6-inch Pistol-Gas 1:7 .300 BLK AR-15 Freefloat M-Lok Handguard Pistol Upper Build Kit

Aegis 6-inch Pistol-Gas 1:7 .300 BLK AR-15 Freefloat M-Lok Handguard Pistol Upper Build Kit

This .300 Blackout pistol upper delivers a complete upper assembly built around a 6-inch nitride barrel with a 1:7 twist rate, optimized for subsonic and supersonic ammunition. The freefloat M-Lok handguard provides mounting flexibility while maintaining accuracy, and the low-profile gas block keeps the profile clean for pistol configurations. Aircraft-grade aluminum construction throughout ensures durability without unnecessary weight.

Key Features

• 6-inch nitride barrel with 1:7 twist rate, 5/8x24 thread pitch
• 7075 T6 aluminum upper receiver with M4 feed ramps and anodized finish
• 7-inch freefloat M-Lok handguard in aircraft-grade aluminum
• Pistol length gas tube with low-profile 0.750 gas block
• Steel flash can muzzle device with black oxide coating, 9mm and .350 compatible
• Forward assist assembly and ejection port door included

Perfect For

• .300 Blackout pistol builds seeking compact, modular upper assemblies
• Shooters pairing with pistol braces or short lower receivers
• Subsonic and supersonic ammunition testing in a short-barrel platform
• Builders who want M-Lok rail flexibility without a full-length handguard

Pistol Platform Optimization

This upper is purpose-built for pistol configurations using the shorter gas system and compact barrel length. The 6-inch barrel balances velocity with maneuverability, making it suitable for both subsonic loads and standard .300 Blackout ammunition. The 1:7 twist stabilizes a wide range of bullet weights, from 110-grain to 220-grain projectiles. The low-profile gas block and pistol-length gas tube work together to manage cycling in a shorter system without excess noise or recoil impulse.

M-Lok Modular Mounting

The 7-inch freefloat handguard uses M-Lok slots for accessory mounting, allowing you to configure lights, lasers, or other tactical equipment without rail space constraints. The freefloat design isolates the barrel from handguard pressure, supporting consistent accuracy across different shooting positions and load variations. Aircraft-grade aluminum construction keeps weight minimal while maintaining rigidity.

Muzzle Device and Thread Compatibility

The included steel flash can features 5/8x24 threads, matching the barrel thread pitch for direct installation. The design is compatible with 9mm and .350 Legend platforms, providing flexibility if you plan future builds. The black oxide coating resists corrosion in field conditions.
