Barrel and Cycling Performance

The 7.5-inch Akali barrel uses a 1:10 twist rate optimized for 9MM projectiles. This configuration delivers consistent velocity and accuracy at typical pistol distances. The phosphate finish provides reliable corrosion protection in standard conditions. The barrel threads accept standard 1/2x36 suppressors and muzzle devices, giving you flexibility for future upgrades.

Build Quality and Materials

This kit combines quality materials across critical components. The billet upper receiver is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and hardcoat anodized for durability. The nitride bolt carrier resists wear and corrosion better than standard mil-spec finishes. The freefloat handguard design isolates the barrel from external pressure, which supports consistent shot placement. All components are Davidson Defense branded and sourced for reliability.

What You Need to Know

The Magpul BTR brace provides a stable platform for one-handed or two-handed shooting. The freefloat M-Lok system lets you mount lights, lasers, or other accessories without affecting barrel harmonics. This kit does not include a lower receiver—you'll need to source a stripped lower compatible with AR-15 platforms. Assembly is required for final completion. The blemished cosmetics mean you may see finish inconsistencies or minor marks, but all functional dimensions and tolerances meet standard specifications.

Follow safe handling and manufacturer instructions. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Lower receiver not included. BCG and charging handle are not included.
