Virex 16-inch 6.5 Grendel AR-15 Upper Build Kit

The Virex is a 16-inch 6.5 Grendel AR-15 Upper Build Kit built around an M4-profile barrel and a 7075-T6 aluminum upper receiver. It pairs a 15-inch M-LOK handguard, finished in black, with a Guntec .308 Micro Comp multi-port compensator at the muzzle. The whole build cycles on a carbine-length gas system. BCG and charging handle are not included, leaving the buyer to supply those components separately.

Barrel and Gas System

The barrel runs 16 inches long, chambered in 6.5 Grendel and finished in Parkerized with an M4 profile. It carries a 1:8 twist rate suited to that chambering and a 5/8x24 muzzle thread. Gas cycles back to the action through a carbine-length system, running a stainless steel carbine-length gas tube and a micro low-profile steel gas block sized to a .750-inch journal.

Upper Receiver and Handguard

The upper receiver is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with an anodized finish, cut with M4 feed ramps for smooth feeding and fitted with a standard AR-15 forward assist assembly. The ejection port carries a standard .223/5.56 door with its rod and spring installed. Over the barrel sits a 15-inch M-LOK handguard finished in black, with partial Picatinny rail sections on top rather than running the full length.

Muzzle Device

Capping the muzzle is a Guntec .308 Micro Comp multi-port compensator, machined from steel with a nitride finish. It threads onto the barrel's 5/8x24 pattern and is secured with the included 5/8-inch black crush washer.
