US Tactical 80% Blank is forged from 7075-T6 aluminum for a superior custom build. Operations left to be completed include fire control/trigger group milling, trigger pin, hammer pin, trigger slot, and the safety selector hole. This is not an FFL item and requires machining to complete. These Are The Best Of The Best In 80% blanks. Returns will not be accepted once the blank is modified in any way.
80% blanks can be made in many different materials that each have their benefits in ease of manufacturing and overall finish when complete.
Particularly 7075-T6 Forged Aluminum is what the classic AR-15/M-16 were originally made out of. The suffix "-T6" is an indicator of how the Alloy was heat treated to give it improved strength and corrosion resistance, before bluing or finishing the blank with a cerakote or anodizing.
Many 80% AR-15 blanks will be made from Forged Aluminum 7075-T6, 6061-T6, and Composite Polymers.
The blank of an AR-15 is essentially the backbone of the weapon everything else is built off of, it is what makes an AR-15 a firearm. An 80% blank is exactly what it says, it is a blank that is 80% complete. By it being 80% complete it is considered a normal part and not a serialized firearm, so it is legal to purchase without the need of going through a background check or a local gun dealer.
