The Davidson Defense Lightshow with Gauntlet Arms Brace is an AR-9 pistol full build kit chambered in 9mm with a 4.5-inch medium profile barrel. The kit includes the upper assembly, 9mm bolt carrier group, charging handle, Gauntlet Arms high-strength polymer pistol stabilizing brace, heavy duty aluminum pistol buffer tube, 5.5 oz 9mm carbine buffer, mil-spec receiver end plate, lower parts kit, and all associated buffer system hardware. The AR-9 platform operates via blowback. The lower receiver is not included.

The muzzle is threaded at 1-in-2x36 and pairs with the included 9mm A2 birdcage flash hider in phosphate finish. The upper receiver is 7075-T6 aluminum with M4 feed ramps and an anodized finish, serving as the core front end structure for the AR-9 build. M4 feed ramps support reliable cartridge feeding from the magazine into the chamber. The AR-9 platform operates via blowback.

Handguard

The Guntec 4-inch honeycomb freefloat M-Lok handguard is 6061-T6 aluminum with a Type II hard coat anodized purple finish, keeping the forend lightweight and compact. The honeycomb pattern reduces weight across the handguard body while the M-Lok slots provide attachment points for lights, grips, and other accessories. The handguard length is shorter than the 4.5-inch barrel, and the muzzle device extends beyond the handguard to provide the necessary clearance.

Bolt Carrier Group and Charging Handle

The included 9mm bolt carrier group is built from 8620 alloy steel with a nitride finish and features an external extractor. It is compatible with both Glock and Colt magazine patterns, covering the two primary AR-9 lower receiver feed configurations. The mil-spec M4 charging handle completes the upper component set.

Gauntlet Arms Brace and Buffer System

The Gauntlet Arms pistol stabilizing brace is high-strength polymer in black and pairs with the included heavy duty aluminum pistol buffer tube. The 5.5 oz 9mm carbine buffer, mil-spec receiver end plate, lower parts kit, and all associated buffer system hardware cover the core lower completion components outside the serialized lower receiver.
