This stock is constructed from a new proprietary polymer blend that is that was specifically formulated for backcountry safety equipment designed for summiting mountain peaks in avalanche terrain. It was designed and engineered to be extremely lightweight and impact-resistant without compromising strength and durability, even in the harshest of conditions. The thermal properties of this stock will enable it to be exposed to sub-zero temperatures without structural integrity being compromised.

After research and development of this stock, Davidson Defense noticed a huge discrepancy in the dimensions and tolerances of "Mil-Spec" buffer tubes available on the market. These out of spec Mil-Spec tubes result in a stock that is either too loose and sloppy or too tight and hard to adjust in the way that it fits on the gun. To combat this issue, Davidson Defense engineered a system that will accommodate a wider range of dimensions that claim to be Mil-Spec and achieve an ideal, nearly custom fit. This was achieved through internal "fitment nubs" that are designed to conform to create a snug fit on your specific buffer tube resulting in a secure buffer stock assembly that does not shake or rattle. To enable this, you will want to put the stock on the buffer tube and deploy it back and forth several times to allow the "fitment nubs" to conform to your specific buffer tube ensuring an ideal fit.
