The Davidson Defense Blackreach with SB Tactical SBA5 Brace is an AR-9 pistol full build kit chambered in 9mm with a 6-inch medium profile barrel. The kit includes the upper assembly, 9mm bolt carrier group, charging handle, SB Tactical SBA5 pistol stabilizing brace, mil-spec heavy-duty 6-position buffer tube, 5.5 oz buffer, mil-spec receiver end plate, lower parts kit, and all associated buffer system hardware. The AR-9 platform operates via blowback. The lower receiver is not included.

Barrel and Upper Receiver

The 6-inch medium profile barrel is 4150 CrMoV steel with a nitride finish and a 1:10 twist rate. The muzzle is threaded at 1-in-2x28 and pairs with the included GI birdcage flash hider. The upper receiver is 7075-T6 aluminum with M4 feed ramps and an anodized finish, serving as the core front end structure for the AR-9 build.

Handguard

The tubular slim profile M-Lok handguard is aluminum in black, keeping the forend lightweight and compact. The M-Lok slots along the handguard provide attachment points for lights, grips, and other accessories. The handguard length is shorter than the 6-inch barrel, and the muzzle device extends beyond the handguard to provide the necessary clearance.

Bolt Carrier Group and Charging Handle

The included 9mm bolt carrier group is built from 8620 alloy steel with a nitride finish. It features an external extractor and is compatible with both Glock and Colt magazine patterns, covering the two primary AR-9 lower receiver feed configurations. The mil-spec M4 charging handle completes the upper component set.

SB Tactical SBA5 Brace and Buffer System

The SB Tactical SBA5 pistol stabilizing brace pairs with the included mil-spec heavy-duty 6-position buffer tube. The 5.5 oz buffer, mil-spec receiver end plate, lower parts kit, and all associated buffer system hardware cover the core lower completion components outside the serialized lower receiver.
