LR-308 Lowers are the heart of the rifle, housing the fire control components, mounting your recoil assembly, stock, and buffer. Thanks to the modular design the LR-308 platform is a proven and battle-tested design that certainly lives up to the durability and standards of its operating nations. Typically Mil-Spec Lower Receivers are machined from a forging of 7075-T6 Aluminum. Offering a lightweight and incredibly durable/impact-resistant weapons-grade material. The LR-308 is a derivative of the AR-10 and is not directly compatible with AR-10 Style Upper Receivers. LR-308 lowers incorporate a 'DPMS' style cut in the lower 's buffer tower and upper receiver.
