Sharps Bros Gen 2 Livewire Receiver

The Sharps Bros Gen 2 Livewire is a premium forged aluminum lower receiver machined from custom 7075-T6 material. Forged construction provides superior strength compared to billet receivers, while the CNC machining ensures tight tolerances and reliability. The black anodized finish resists corrosion and wear. At 8.70 ounces, this receiver balances durability with a weight profile suitable for both carbine and rifle configurations.

Ambidextrous Control and Tactical Integration

The ambidextrous bolt release allows both left and right-handed shooters to operate the bolt catch without switching hand position or grip. This design improves handling speed and comfort during shooting transitions. The integrated QD sling mounts on the stock provide attachment points for quick-detach sling systems, making the rifle adaptable to various carry and tactical setups without requiring additional rail space.

Complete Buffer System and Stock Configuration

This kit includes a mil-spec carbine buffer tube with a 6-position adjustable SOPMOD collapsible stock, allowing shooters to customize length of pull for different shooting positions or body armor configurations. The standard carbine buffer (3 ounces) and USA-made recoil spring work together to cycle the rifle reliably. The stock features integrated storage compartments for carrying small items like batteries or cleaning patches.

Multi-Caliber Receiver Platform

The Sharps Bros Gen 2 Livewire is a multi-caliber lower receiver, meaning it accepts upper assemblies in various calibers including 5.56 NATO, 7.62x39, 9mm, 300 Blackout, and other common AR-15 platform calibers. This flexibility allows you to build multiple rifles around a single lower receiver or swap uppers as your needs change.
