Davidson Defense Statesman w/Gauntlet Arms Brace 12.5-inch Pistol-Gas 1:10 .308 Win AR-10 M-Lok Pistol Full Build Kit

Statesman w/Gauntlet Arms Brace 12.5-inch .308 Win AR-10 Full Build Kit

The Statesman is a Full Build Kit built around a Bear Creek 12.5-inch .308 Winchester barrel with a SOCOM profile, built from 4150 chrome moly vanadium steel and finished in Parkerized, paired with an LR-308 billet upper receiver machined to the DPMS low-profile pattern and finished in Type III black hardcoat anodizing. It pairs a Guntec 12-inch ultra-lightweight thin M-LOK handguard with a steel flash can at the muzzle, running on a pistol-length gas system. A Recoil Technologies LR-308 bolt carrier group, aluminum charging handle, Recoil Technologies .308 Lower Parts Kit, pistol-caliber buffer-system components, and a Gauntlet Arms polymer stabilizing brace round out the rest of the build. The lower receiver is not included, leaving the buyer to select and supply that component separately.

Barrel and Gas System

The Bear Creek barrel runs 12.5 inches long, chambered in .308 Winchester and built from 4150 chrome moly vanadium steel with a Parkerized finish and SOCOM profile. It carries a 1:10 twist rate and a 5/8x24 muzzle thread. Gas cycles back to the action through a pistol-length system, running a pistol-length gas tube and a .875-inch low-profile adjustable gas block finished in Melonite.

Upper Receiver and Handguard

The upper receiver is an LR-308 billet unit, machined to the DPMS low-profile pattern and finished in Type III black hardcoat anodizing, built without a forward assist. The ejection port door comes included and assembled. Over the barrel sits a Guntec 12-inch handguard, free-floated in an ultra-lightweight, thin design using an M-LOK attachment system with a monolithic Picatinny top rail running along the top.

Muzzle Device

Capping the muzzle is a steel flash can, finished in black oxide and listed as compatible with .308, with a bore rated up to .350 caliber. It threads onto the barrel's 5/8x24 pattern and is secured with the included 5/8-inch black crush washer.

Bolt Carrier Group and Charging Handle

A Recoil Technologies LR-308 bolt carrier group is included, finished in nitride and listed for use across .308 Winchester, 6.5 Creedmoor, and .243 Winchester. That broader listing describes the BCG itself; the barrel and chambering on this build remain .308 Winchester. An LR-308 charging handle, machined from aluminum, rounds out the upper's operating components.

Lower Parts Kit and Buffer System

A Recoil Technologies .308 Mil-Spec quality Lower Parts Kit, built for the AR-10/LR-308 platform, covers the fire-control and lower-control internals needed once a lower receiver is on hand, and a Mil-Spec A2 grip finished in black polymer is included. Behind it sits a heavy-duty pistol buffer tube built for AR-15/AR-style pistols, holding an LR-308 collapsible stock buffer weighing 3.76 ounces and an AR-10 carbine extra-power buffer spring made from 17-7 stainless steel in the USA. An AR-15 carbine castle nut and Mil-Spec AR-15/M16 receiver end plate secure the buffer tube assembly to the lower.

Stabilizing Brace

Capping off the rear of the build is a Gauntlet Arms polymer stabilizing brace, finished in black in a fixed configuration, mounting directly to the pistol buffer tube included with this kit.
