The included Hughes Precision thread adapter converts the 37-64x28 barrel thread to a 5-8x24 RH male output, allowing standard suppressor and muzzle device options threaded in 5-8x24 RH to thread directly onto this upper. This upper operates on a direct blowback system, meaning there is no gas tube or gas block present or required on this upper. The Air Lite Series Honeycomb 4-inch freefloat M-LOK handguard surrounds the barrel along the compact forend with a monolithic Picatinny top rail for optics and accessory mounting and M-LOK slots along the remaining handguard surfaces for additional accessory attachment in a honeycomb pattern that reduces material across the handguard body.

The PCC AR bolt assembly is the platform-correct bolt assembly for the .45 ACP AR-45 blowback build.
