Strike Industries built this slide adapter plate to let a Gen 3 Glock-pattern slide mount onto a Gen 4 or Gen 5 frame. It fills the exposed gap that would otherwise be left between the Gen 3 slide and the newer frame, while also supporting the front frame opening and helping keep the Gen 3 recoil rod and spring positioned correctly.

Function and Fit

This adapter plate is designed specifically to bridge a Gen 3 Glock-pattern slide with a Gen 4 or Gen 5 frame, closing the gap that exists between the two generations at the front of the frame. Beyond simply filling that gap, it offers support around the front frame opening to help reduce flex, and it helps keep the Gen 3 recoil rod and spring from shifting out of position rather than moving freely within the gap it's meant to close.

Construction

The plate is machined from aluminum and finished in black, keeping its overall weight to approximately 0.1 oz so it adds negligible bulk to the pistol. It's built as a drop-in component, allowing it to be installed quickly without additional fitting.
